The rabbit hole we call the Internet led me to this online store called Ellis and Friends. I was perusing their website when I came across this stunning white dress. I love the bare shoulders, how it’s A-line (hiding my big hips), and how it’s made in lace, crochet and organza. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

Ladies, aren’t we always looking for that perfect little black dress? Well, I think I’ve found it! Have you heard of Lark & Ro? It’s a clothing line created by Amazon exclusively for Prime members. This 3/4 sleeve knit fit-and-flare dress is so comfortable! It hugs in all the right places and it’s not too short or too long. I’m kind of a minimalist, I like everything in my life to be simple and clean. Lately, that’s applied to my wardrobe as well. I liked this dress because it acts like a blank slate. You can dress it up or dress it down. Best part? This dress is only $44.50!
The other one I love, also from Lark and Ro, is this sleeveless ponte fit-and-flare dress. It’s more for the summer. Also super comfortable and chic.
Also one of my finds, to pair with these dresses, is Boohoo jewelry. They have cheap but trendy pieces.
Excuse my slight obsession with this rainbow colored linen dress by Mara Hoffman. I first spotted it on Vogue.com about a week ago and then it just happened to pop up on my radar again. Anthropologie is now selling this gorgeous dress along with several other pieces from the designer. I love how it is asymmetrical, how it only bares one shoulder and how you can pair it with any color accessory or shoe. It’s a beauty.
Net-A-Porter just stated that “this season’s runways were saturated with every shade of the rainbow.” I can’t help but love all of the color-popping clothes, especially the statement dresses. Though I don’t usually post on the high-high end brands (note: two highs), I couldn’t help but fall in love with these by Balenciaga, Gucci, Tibi and Roberto Cavalli. Fire engine red and millennial pink seem to be the colors trending right now, which I just can’t get enough of. Note: Did you notice Balenciaga’s cool color-blocking?

Lately, I’ve been sort of a style kick. You’ll have to excuse me but most of my posts these days are dealing with clothes. One can find a lot of visual inspiration through fashion, trends come and go, it’s fun to see which ones stick. One of the trends I’ve been seeing lately (that I’m loving) is ruffles. Aimee Song of @songofstyle just sported a beautiful black and white ruffle top, but she didn’t state where it came from. After some digging, I think I figured it out – it’s from fashion brand Self-Portrait. Perhaps Song got a custom made top of the design seen above?

I’ve been looking for ways to update my wardrobe so I was delighted to come upon this dress! Sold in black or pink, the dress is simple until you get towards the bottom. That’s where you’ll find accordion style pleats in different colors of the rainbow. It’s minimalism and rainbows in one! Called the Ericdress Color Block Patchwork Short Sleeve Round Neck Casual Dress, it’s a steal right now at $26.03. I couldn’t help but buy it in both colors. The review are fairly good, 4 out of 5 stars with 24 reviews. I just hope it comes out as pretty as it looks.
Because I was in a dress buying mood, I also scooped up this pretty wrap dress at Scoutmob. (I love the dainty elegance of cap sleeves.)
